I don’t know how much advice you should be giving parents when you don’t always give accurate advice. I know you shut your comments off on the summer IEP post. But what you failed to inform parents is there as a difference between evaluations, which sometimes schools do during the summer, and an IEP meeting. Teachers, art, facilitators, and a lot of the service providers are not under contract during the summer time. We will not be coming in. Another thing you failed to explain is the district is open during the summertime. The schools are closed during the summertime. We are not service providers. You can’t go to the grocery store and demand groceries when it is closed. The district is open. The schools are closed. Hope this helps.

The federal government has never met its 40% funding obligation to special education. There is a bill for fully funding sped ask your federal legislator to support the bill.
