I think a lot of you don't understand what a producer actually does. Not all producers are the same. Not all musicians need the same kinds of producers. Rick Rubin is the guy you go to, if you want help organizing the massive amount of things you have floating around in your head. People don't understand that when you hear 6 ideas, it's a skill to be able to pick the RIGHT idea. They think that's nothing. I think his track record of success tells the story just fine.
