@brookethecurator: Yesterday we hosted our very first Check On Him 5K Walk for Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month… and I’m still smiling. Seeing everyone check in, listening to the music, hearing Dr. Robin pour into us, warming up together, and then watching everybody cross that finish line… it reminded me why I started BetterHER in the first place. This wasn’t about being the fastest. It was about showing up. To everyone who registered, volunteered, partnered with us, sponsored us, vended, stretched us out, played the music, and walked beside us—thank you. Y’all helped make this day so special. And to my BetterHER girls… y’all made me proud. Y’all showed up, encouraged each other, finished what y’all started, and proved to yourselves that you could do it.
