They paid rent on time, and it’s clean as a landlord. I believe you have to fulfil keeping the unwanted trees removed not the Tennant so I would say they deserve their deposit back.

Definitely give their deposit back, but maybe mention that they should tell the landlord when theres an issue like the bathroom so they can get it fixed. they were probably worried they would get blamed for it

In my opinion, I hearted the video the second time I heard him say “we are not gonna deduct the deposit because of that, it’s an easy fix”. I think he must be a great landlord. Some landlords will find ANY SMALL thing to complain about. He took most of the responsibility
