Holy ragebait with the comments, in the video he explains that the phone always stays in the kitchen by the fridge and it’s stripped down to only the camera, FaceTime, photos, settings and phone and the only contacts on the phone are his immediate family, there’s no internet access or games it’s literally a digitally advanced landline, that’s all the phone is used for.

I'm GenX, "Kids don't need technology", I agree BUT they DO need connection w family. "Landlines still exist", ofc but I wlda loved the memory of facetime w my grandparents. I absolutely love this solution.

I’ve never heard of being in the same house and Colleen your parents on the landline because normally if you’re in the same house, the landline would have the same phone number as the house. Not unless you have a house that had two phone numbers with landline phones.

My opinion don’t ever give a kid a smart phone if you need them to have contact with you get like a flip phone with 4g/lte and or 5g whatever doesn’t matter as long as it can call and text get them it but not a smart phone specially with the internet and them being on it all the time no they don’t need to be on the internet

We use Samsung Galaxy phones with Google Family Link. Once you set the phone up with a supervised child account, it's all built in. I can manage screen time, approve apps, lock the phone, filter content, and track location from my phone. Super easy.

My 5&6 year old boys have had iPads since they were 3, both excel at school and understand how to use AI. Setting them up for the future! School curriculum is very dated and ineffective
