If u build it upright in place and use pocket holes to attach the top, u could build it right up to the ceiling.

Get him to lift it up high and you walk the bottom down inch by inch as he's pushing up inch by inch and it will even out

If your box is lets say...7ft x 3ft. a²+b²=c²....7²+3²=c².....49+9=c².... c²=58...c = sq rt of 58 or 7.62ft.
