I think Aniya also got caught up with the others girls reconnecting with their boys. It got her hopes up and she was already unsure of how she would go and then seeing her friends successfully reconnect made her have some hope for kc to choose her as well.

I used to be Aniya. Going as far as marrying (now divorced) someone very much like KC. It’s the hardest attachment style to unlearn. The self work is ALOT but know she’ll get there. It’s a cannon event. She has to go through it to grow through it 🥲🥹

I also noticed she kept emphasizing how he didn’t “pick” her instead of her feelings for him. I think deep down she wanted to feel chosen to soothe her feelings of abandonment and inadequacy as well.
