Babyyy… if your highlights stay uneven every time you leave the salon, THIS is probably why. Here’s exactly how I moved up my client’s old highlights on textured hair ⤵️ ⸻ ✨ STEP-BY-STEP 1️⃣ Slice + Evaluate Identify the new growth vs. the old blonde. Textured hair lifts FAST so you need a plan before applying anything. 2️⃣ Tease + Tension Give the section a soft tease AND hold FIRM tension. Tension is the MOST important part — it keeps your application clean, controlled, and prevents splotchy lift. 3️⃣ Apply + Fade Lay down your lightener and fade UP into the new growth and DOWN into the mids for a soft, even blend. 4️⃣ Pull Out the Light Pieces If the mids/ends are over 50% blonde, pull them out of the foil. Only keep the darker sections inside so everything lifts evenly. 5️⃣ Bleach the Darker Sections Only Close the foil tight and let the darker areas lift on their own first. 6️⃣ Add the Light Pieces Back In Once the darker pieces hit your target level, open the foil and add the lighter strands back. This is how you prevent patchy, back-of-the-head trauma. ⸻ ✨ PRODUCTS USED • @Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe 9+ Lightener • #BlondMe 7 vol + 20 vol developers (7 vol mixed with 20 vol for new growth & darker sections) • @framar Cookie Cutter Pop Up Foils ⸻ ✨ IMPORTANT REMINDER Textured hair lifts QUICK, so you MUST pull foils as you go. If your stylist isn’t lifting each section evenly or watching the lift as it happens… that’s EXACTLY how you end up with bright back, dark front, patchy mids. Don’t say I never put you on babyyy 😭✨ Save for Later!💗 . . #SharStylesCurls #WinnipegStylist #WinnipegHair #WpgHair
