My mom would be boiling like one or two potatoes at 8pm just so she could make fried potatoes with eggs for me in the morning when I visited. I miss her so much.

I was just going through all the food she would make for me to help soothe any emotion I was going through. she made the best sweet potatoes with brown sugar and marshmallows on top..... i eat like garbage now, if I eat....

My mom wasn’t a “start from scratch” kind of cooker, however, I would seriously do anything to have ANY meal cooked by her. She made a meaaaan stew tho! I wish I remembered how to make it, she taught me once when I was like 14. What I would do to be 14 again. And take every single second of that in. God do I miss her. So much 🥺😭

Feel the same girlie. Surviving on soups, bagged salads and sourdough. Grief brain has not given me the strength to cook for my husband. He totally understands, but it will get back soon, but still not now. Our angel Moms’ cooking will be missed forever.

I feel the exact same!! I am a good cook taught by my mum I cook the same recipes for my children it doesn’t taste the same!! My heart hurts that when she was alive and offered me foods I said no thank you!!

a week before my mom died i was planning to surprise her with me coming home. and i was imagining her cooking my favorite food. i missed her cooking so much. but then, yeah, i got home and never got to taste her cooking again.
