My entire life I was a good kid but always targeted by teachers for just talking, laughing, or finishing early.

It was generally draining growing up in a setting like this. I was a confident and smart kid who consistently outperformed my school, district, and state average (in a high achieving state) every year and I was still treated differently. That’s why I’m such a mean reserved person now.
