@the_mandiann: Know long did it take to write your manuscript? Sometimes we just need to hear that we are not alone. #writertok #writer #authortok #author #indieauthor
About a year. It’s about 3 months per draft + time in between for beta readers and such. Not including my agent/publisher requirements.

5 years for book 1. For books 2-6 in the series varies from a year-and-half to two years each. The process would be quicker if I did not have a day job.

I haven’t don’t a novel yet. But I’ve had non-fiction books that ran through me and went from concept to hard copy in three months. Others took over a year. My next non-fiction book is coming out next weekend. After that, I’m focusing on my fiction. I’ll keep you posted.

Going on 3 years! In that time, Ive written multiple drafts, had another baby, stepped away to work on something else, and said “i think im almost done” about 10,000 times 😅 I really commend people who can finish a book in 6 months but it will never be me.
