He’s right, there is a practice of this from Buddhism. I highly recommend it if you have anxiety. Or if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. Take some deep breaths, close your eyes, try to zoom out of and then zoom in on how long you think you’ll live, barring accident or illness. Who do you see there with you? They are important to you. What would you want on your tombstone or said about you if a friend were writing a speech about you. It can show you what is important. You don’t have to restrict time in this, maybe your parents or siblings are there even if they are older. It makes the big things in your life, seem smaller. It can show you where you need to go to make that really happen. This can be used for any plan. Visualize it and make it a reality.

I remember seeing a video with him and I believe his partner (unsure if still with her) and they were discussing death and he told her he already had his wishes in place, power of attorney, etc and she would not need to do anything on the matter. She was offended and he explained this was his decision and he would never want to place that burden on her even if she was willing to take it on. When he says “think about it in a factual way” he’s referring to responsibility after death too. John Cena is nothing if not about business.
