@zacksjerryrig: Did you know 100 billion aluminum cans are consumed each year by the United States alone? #recycling #aluminum #jerryrigeverything

Pratik Naik :

People shouldn’t be ingesting that many cans honestly

J :

Literally doing ALL of this instead of having people return the cans to be cleaned & reused…😭💀

gene64gu6ui :

The majority of aluminum is recycled because primary extraction requires a continuous, costly input of high-voltage electricity. Collecting, crushing, and melting existing aluminum is significantly cheaper than the electrical energy needed to extract the metal from excavated bauxite ore. For every dollar of electricity spent producing aluminum from raw materials, the same expenditure could process twenty times that amount in recycled metal.

This is why everyone should introduce the pant/pfant system, you pay $0.10 - $0.30 extra per can or PET bottle, then when you bring it to a pant station you get said money back, I brought 4 gigantic trash bags and got like $60 back. Its also a great way for homeless people to make money, they go around and collect the cans and bottles which lets them buy food

Akku :

what if it rains😭

Kkelligirli1983❌ :

Cans and plastic should be banned.

Malik Danish :

I don’t believe it’s 100 billion cans 😒
