as someone who is romanian, I can sincerely say that Rubuskas dress does not look remotely close to the ones we wear here. Rubuska also mentions Strandzha which is a mountain massif in the southeastern side of Bulgaria. She and Corvus are both Bulgarian character

rubuska is Bulgarian wearing nosia mostly inspired by the rupite area and culture but has just a few romanian pieces in her story like being vampire but everything she does like playing music dancing is by the Bulgarian customs i myself have worn similar outfits on the day of lazar as young girls go around in the traditional clothing from door to door to sing dance and recite poetry about spring returning and getting gifted food and goods for their spring announcements she pretty much does all this without the spring part

Quick correction in Rubuskas case the inspiration behind her outfit is more Bulgarian and so are the patterns on it . Romanian while they have similar patterns they don’t have the same.
