@jolyon: The hottest movement in youth culture is as old as time. Callisthenics. It's the practice of using nothing but your own body weight. No gym, no machines, no equipment, just you, your strength and whatever environment you're in. TikTok named it one of the biggest community trends of the year. But what's interesting to me is the culture around it. Callisthenics has this raw anti-establishment energy that feels completely in tune with where youth culture is right now. In London you've got crews like PNP Fitness, founded by Theo Caldwell, turning estate architecture into training environments. Nike's already clocked it. They tapped PNP for a film. PNP already had the co-sign of the streets, supporting Corteiz on the Nike Air Max 95 rollout. Burberry has dropped their first ever activewear campaign and tapped Max Effort to front it. Max is Nike Sportswear's go-to street callisthenics coach, and one of the reasons park gyms are having such a proper cultural moment again right now. You don't book Max Effort because you want him to yourself. You book him because he's already on the inside of the world you want to enter. Casting is the credibility. It's borrowed, not built, and it's only going to get bigger. ✌️👀
