I just found you and you are 1000% my favorite content creator for this show now. You get the themes so much more clearly than anybody I’ve seen. I thought I had a good grasp on it until now. I’ve read the book but still never understood it on this level. Thank you! ❤️

Rhaena becomes Nettles in a way, because the people writing down history don't know it's Rhaena and think Daemon is cheating on Rhaenyra (when in fact, he's spending time with his daughter). It's probably one of those tropes that is overdone (wife thinks husband is cheating when he isn't), but in this case, it works.

I want to see Dreamfyre so bad 😭😭😭 this might be wishful thinking but I’ve been watching the whole time assuming Helaena loves Dreamfyre but just doesn’t love riding as much. It also occurred to me that Dreamfyre and Tessarion are both blue, which is kind of interesting when you consider that blue is the color they chose to put Alicent in when she’s choosing peace, and Helaena and Daeron are arguably her more peaceful children. Might be a reach, idk 🤷♀️also how tf does anyone know Sheepstealer’s name?!? I thought he was a secret dragon no one knew about?!

I wonder if they’ll touch on the “a dragon is not a slave” narrative with sheepstealer being a wild dragon. Daemon seemed surprised by a wild dragon being tamed, so maybe that will be significant. Not as good as having Nettles’ storyline, but a possible bridge to the same message?

I don’t know yet if the show has downplayed Heleana and dreamfyre rather they haven’t shown the relationship on screen. I will hold this sentiment until I see it play out differently on the show. They still made her a dragon rider which means she does have a bond. I can see how she loves creatures so deeply she is unwilling to risk dreamfyre by choice. I’m hoping that’s the direction they’re going.

The changes to Helaena are the only thing that Ryan did to the story that I enjoy. That said, I wish her relationship with Dreamfyre remained the same as in the books

agree or disagree with decisions, we can't argue that HOTD writers don't care about the story they're telling, unlike D&D who just wanted to get it over with. I love how you're helping us take into account limitations and reasonings from the showrunners side. as unlikeable as things might get, at least they don't get devoid of logic like post s4 game of thrones, and as much as i might complain about certain things, I'm willing to get over them (except Alicent, I'm convinced they have something personal against Alicent. Can't even imagine what awaits her next episode)

I wish they had her with DreamFyre instead of with a caterpillar.. its little moments that do make sense that they could have done, but didnt. I guess it makes sense for cost, it is a whole dragon they dont have to CGI.
