@myveganlady: plant based food is for EVERYONE🍉🥑🌱🍍 guys a cookie without eggs or dairy is just... a cookie🍪 i hope we get to a place where "vegan" or "plant-based" on a label describes the ingredients, not the audience #plantbased #foodforthought #mindset #vegancommunity
people are so weird about the word vegan! i made vegan cupcakes for a work event and almost no one would eat them. i explained it was just flour, sugar, applesauce, and oat milk and they just wouldn’t try them! so crazy to me!

That’s Cinnaholic’s marketing plan too. It’s all quietly Vegan & so delicious!

My manager at my old job was trying to accuse me of forcing vegan food on people because the cookies I got for the event for toddlers are vegan but I got them because one of the toddlers attending is allergic to eggs. The cookies are free of the top allergens and I feel like are the safest option for little kids especially when we don’t know all their dietary restrictions I only knew that specific toddler because she enrolled regularly in the enrichment program. They were constantly concerned about the budget but then said I should have gotten regular cookies for everyone else. I don’t get how a regular cookie is defined because Oreos happen to be vegan and those were also commonly bought for our programs and most people like Oreos and eat them even if they themselves are not vegan. The only difference is one is labeled

Yep yep! lol if you’ve ever been to a Cinnaholic, they’re completely plant based, but never advertise it. And it’s genius.

I have a friend who does this! She bakes vegan cinnamon rolls and when she goes to the farmer's market to sell them, she doesn't advertise them as vegan, she writes, "Egg-free and dairy-free." I think this is such a clever way to market your goods when you want to get more people to try vegan food. 💕

great point. if it says vegan I wouldn’t buy it. i’m thinking if I owned a restaurant, I would have a regular menu, and a separate vegan menu to hand out to vegans. This way a meat eater won’t be turned off by something marked vegan. I wish somebody would do the social experiment.

I agree. I owned my own little Etsy bakery.. I've had people argue with me. asking me to make it non-vegan.. I don't label anything as vegan. I label everything as plant-based even though that I know there's a difference. most people don't. it's really sad

There’s a baker who’s always at local markets by me. Her stuff is vegan but she doesn’t advertise it. So I, a vegan, didn’t know I could buy from her for the longest time. And like, I get it. But it’s such a bummer to alienate vegan customers bc people are such babies about the “vegan” label.
