@angel333number333: Homeless and living in my car 🚗 please give me any advice about how to deal with this situation that recently happened cause I have no idea what to do.. :/ #homeless #livinginmycar #fyp
Try a camp ground that allows you to park and sleep it’s cheaper but will cost a little money but might be safer and legal also 💖 then you’ll have power and access to bathrooms etc also.

Why don’t you park somewhere that’s opened 24/7?

You have to think about it, because if you do get in trouble and get sent to jail even for one night, your car will be impounded and that can cause you between $250-500 depending on the county and city. So that would still put you behind. There will always be something that holds you back. And ideal situation is 3/6 months rent. And keep the side hustles as well. If you find an apartment with washer and dryer plus a steady place to keep food you will be saving more than you think.

it's time to find a different location or just rent a place. your car description is now logged in with the PD, citation might get expensive there for taking away from your savings.

Did she offer any resources like shelters, affordable housing?

it's better to move to another parking lot, just to be safe.

You could rent a private parking space and that should work for you. It’s money, but a lot less money than a room.

It's highly unlikely that they might throw you in jail, but what i think they might punish you with is a bill, and they can be highly expensive depending on the area and the law.

Cities are trying to make homelessness illegal but very few resources to actually help those who need it

I think this is your warning. It’s going to be so hot. Find a studio or above garage. You have 6 months of expenses, that’s the goal.

Since you have a job now and you have your TikTok following you should try finding a place and doing a lot more content creation. You’re good at it!! You’re going to be stressing out even more now and next time it will be a big fine. Good luck girlie you got this

I think it’s time to find a room to rent atleast. I would be pissed if I were living in my car to save money and got charged a fine for sleeping in my car.

Thinking of you girl, I know you want 12 month saved up but I think this might be a sign from the universe to find somewhere sooner as I don’t want you to face the set back of a fine from the police, in the meantime try to look for overnight parking places nearby ♥️stay safe

call campgrounds and sleep there. especially if it has a nice shade with trees it will be nice and safer! you could also rent a closed off garage and sleep there?

Ok, novel coming up lol: everyone saying, “Just rent a room” or “Just get an apartment” probably doesn’t understand. I have my own place, so I can’t fully speak on it, but renting a room or having roommates can really suck because it never truly feels like your own home.

I think you should look into maybe renting out a room vs a whole apartment? I can understand not wanting to live with strangers but maybe long stay air bnbs ? (Some are usually people guest houses or separate rooms )

Not sure where you are located but in California there are Safe Parking Programs for people living in their cars that give them a safe place to sleep in their vehicle and receive support resources.

i get wanting to save money, but i think for your safety and to avoid getting caught again, it might be best to find an apartment. from my understanding you live in texas and fortunately rent isn’t too bad here. you can find a studio or find someone who’s looking for a roommate, just don’t live above your means and find a place that you can afford.

My husband was homeless and living in his car for a little while in Florida and was worried about the same thing. He would often find a hospital garage and sleep there since people go there 24/7

I feel like she was looking out for you. She let you go with a warning. She did not have to do that. You have to open your heart and eyes to see kindness being given to you. Don‘t let all the negativity in your life effect your outlook on it. Not everybody is out to get you. Sometimes people do deserve the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they want what’s best for you rather than tear you further down. I think this was one of these cases.

it might be worthwhile to call around to campgrounds and see how much it is to park extended amounts of time… or find a friend or someone you can pay to park at their house?
