It will always be difficult to voice nuanced criticisms online, but in seeing how divisive the attendance of the launch event has been I want to affirm that it’s something worth addressing. Knowing how vital women have been in the creation of a line only means much when male creators are placed at the forefront of its debut. And while I’m indescribably grateful to have had these opportunities and met so many amazing people, it’s okay to also acknowledge what the impact of my presence has been. I hope that as the rollout continues we see women take the spotlight, and the love and years of work poured into the line can shine through and continue reaching people. Thanks to everyone on the Mirror Mi team that shared your time and wisdom with us, and thank you to all the collectors and creators who have voiced your concerns and pushed for understanding. Sometimes it takes a lot of yapping to keep the community a community. Also irked at my phone for refusing to keep the color consistent #mirromi #dollcollector #dolls #women
