@blaise.swancer: Most people think investing is only for people with a lot of money. I started at 17 because I realized time is more powerful than the amount you invest. Compound interest lets your money earn money, and then those earnings earn even more over the years. The earlier you start, the less you often need to invest to build long-term wealth. I made this slideshow because I wish someone had explained this to me sooner. Your future self will thank you. 💰 How old were you when you made your first investment? (Or when do you plan to start?) #PersonalFinance #CompoundInterest #Investing #financialfreedom #wealthbuilding
At 33 I have more value in my 401k than most retirees have at 62. I invested early for this exact reason. Will be forcing my kids to invest early as well 😂 I used calculator.net 401k calculator to view the breakdown of money on the schedule feature.... legitimately helped me visualize my returns and lock in early

Devin :
but what am i gonna do with it in 50 years when im 67 years old. cruises? Like i could easily be dead or not mobile by then. I don’t know i just want to live sooner rather than later in life. but i get the idea if you are planning on still having a great life at 70 +

10% return is crazy. More like 5-6% to be conservative

What brokerage do you use and what stock do you currently invest the $500 a month in? So you can get a good return on the investment?
