Good place for beginning: piers: makai pier, he’eia pier. Shore casting: Paiko, Kahana Bay, chinamans hat. Ala moana beach park (bait fish). Blue water: Bamboo ridge

First, I wanna tell you "good job" for supporting him on one of life's AWESOME hobbies. 💯. hopefully you'll get into it too!!! nothing better than a couple enjoying a simple day of fishing together. foreal. then you go home and eat what you caught!! Oh wait, you had a question yeah? lol. West side get plenty places. try start off at power plant. lots of friendly older unkos that have alot of knowledge to share. good vibes, good fishing spot. Different beaches are known for having different fish. different fish require different set up on your pole. plenty to learn, but also plenty to be excited about. good Luck to you both and hope to catch yall on the beach one day💯💯💯#Start safe

Wherever get good reef structures & life. Oahu is already crowded as is, so best times to go is before sunrise & before sunset. A lot of spots are gatekept for a reason cuz nowadays ppl just catch & catch without following bag limits. Only catch what you need, not as much as you can

The first rule of fishing is to not talk about fishing spots to people you don't know. Befriend a local fisherman and he/she will take you or show you the spots.

I like going to kakaako! Fish usually like to stay near the reef and boat harbors. Just don’t fish too close to the boats!
