@harrytiffinheating: When was the last time your unvented cylinder was serviced? 👀 On this one I: ✅ Tested the safety relief valves ✅ Checked they reseated correctly ✅ Checked the expansion vessel pressure ✅ Verified immersion thermostat temperature ✅ Checked D1 & D2 discharge pipework compliance ✅ Completed the service paperwork A lot of people don't realise unvented cylinders should be serviced regularly, just like a boiler. #Plumber #HeatingEngineer #UnventedCylinder #G3Qualified #HotWaterCylinder

No no no no, tap the expansion vessel if it’s hollow it’s fine , quick check the immersion stat hasn’t popped - model and serial number. Stand and scroll on your phone for 20 mins. Done…. Right???

shudnt be 3 bar , 0.4 bar less than the working pressure, 2.6bar

Ignore the pressure sticker on the expansion vessel and match it to the pressure reducing valve so the expansion works at the same operating pressure as the system. I see so many discharge regulation failures it's not even funny anymore. Also give the immersion a quick resistance check and check the capacitor on the secondary pump if the system has one, purge the cold drain off and check the draw off and return temps etc. I've done way too many of these for Legionella control🤣 Iso and drain off fitted to expansion, tamper proof and purge the expansion vessel.

wtf why are you dismantling the combination valve? 😂. Also expansion vessel pressure is not always 3bar. It should be 0.2bar below your working pressure. If there’s only 2bar to the house vessel air pressure should be 1.8bar. Hope this helps.

I also check prv operation , short circuit tests on immersions , and then charge for new immersion elements and combi valve 👍🏻
