My father is twenty years Navy, retired. He changed my diapers. He changed the diapers of my older sister who--technically, legally, and biologically--is not *his*. And after the divorce, he wasn't allowed to see her from age 10 (he won primary custody of me, twice); he walked her down the aisle. He was there for both her sons' births. And he changed those diapers, too. Taught a newly minted father how to hold and care for his baby.
