Oh yes the actual salt water crocodiles are crazy huge! And very aggressive! Spent a few months in northern Australia! Saw one in a sanctuary, and I couldn’t get over the size!

Saltwater crocodiles are a specific species that live in the northern part of Australia and southern Indonesia. Other crocodile species (like the American crocodile) can tolerate saltwater due to salt glands on their tongues!

Technically, describing them by their habitat isn't even wrong. I’m also wondering as to why you specified the one in Mexico being an American crocodile? Did you mean the species is native to America, or were you implying it's like the ones you have at home where you live? I don’t know that you can know if it’s American.

Almost all crocodiles are “salt water crocs” in that they can live in salt water… but only the estuarine croc of SE Asia and Australia is commonly known as the saltwater crocodile

If I’m afraid of anything it’s a salt water crocodile, which is not just a crocodile in salt water but its own breed called salt water crocodile
