@geraldal26: It is truly painful to watch the struggle of Dr. Kizza Besigye. As he returns to the High Court on 30 June, many of us can only pray that justice, fairness, and due process prevail. Every court appearance has become another painful chapter in a long and difficult journey. Sometimes I find myself sitting alone, and before I know it, tears are running down my face. Perhaps the most painful part is not only what he is going through, but our silence. At times, that silence feels like betrayal. What will future generations say about us? When they read about these events, will they ask why so many remained silent while they unfolded before our eyes? Dr. Kizza Besigye never truly enjoyed the carefree years of his youth. Instead, he dedicated them to serving and fighting for the Uganda he dreamed of. Decades later, he continues to bear the weight of that sacrifice. Uganda deserves justice, truth, and leaders who are willing to sacrifice for what they believe in. Personally, I have come to a painful conclusion: Dr. Besigye deserved better from us.
