@bookswithamanda212: Healing will not look the same for everyone and it sure isn’t linear. But one of the most frequently left comments I receive on my videos is a variation of people assuming I grew up rich, privileged, with no sorts of struggle or trauma simply because they don’t like that I’ve healed. I’ve put in a lot of hard work to be where I’m at today and I’m not going to fake being humble because you are insecure and hurt. I’m resilient and I’m proud of where I’m at. I don’t have to look like you and you don’t have to look like me and that’s okay. But if I can give someone a sliver of hope that they can come out at the end of their own trauma happy, healthy, and at peace in life, then I’ll keep talking. #trauma #traumahealing #HealingJourney #growthtiktok #growthanddevelopment
Yes. And I rarely see the inverse. Healed people do not necessarily impose healing on others cause they already know how much it sucks

I can’t lie even I mistakenly saw you as someone who just seemed to have it all figured out but the only way for someone to truly become that way is to go through things and have overcome them. And yea you should look at it as a positive thing for the most part because it means none of that trauma reeks or leaks off of you. I’d really like to get to that point if it’s possible for me. Would you care to make a video on healing past trauma even more broadly on “sinning and making mistakes and atoning” would really appreciate your insight on it

This has been on my mind so much the past few weeks and it’s made me realize some things about some people in my orbit. While it’s not about comparing struggles I realized just how tone deaf things in these dynamics were. There was a huge gap in my background and me always choosing doing the inner and outer work versus someone feeling entitled to things changing for them despite not having obstacles and being well off. I can’t lend an ear anymore to people who know what they need to do but simply won’t do it because it’s hard or uncomfortable.

I have so much respect for you. I completely agree, when you live life being ok with being uncomfortable, you will get through anything. I also had a really tough era during my childhood and the amount of work it’s taken to get to where I am where people would never know def makes me proud. It’s so strange how so many people don’t like to see the “underdog win”

we don't have to act constantly broken or emotionally crippled just because we have been through horrendous trauma. this is why I am so harsh on people who "can't control" themselves. stop lying to yourself and using that excuse to be a POS person.

I think they think this because of the unempathic way you express yourself about others who are struggling

true I think it comes to a point of accountability and responsibility for your own life and breaking a self victimization cycle to fully heal and grow out of the trauma

Not to mention, people who grew up rich and privileged can still go through trauma! Those two things are not guarantees of safety in every aspect of life.

I have absolutely noticed this, like since I’ve been through trauma I can’t basically have hope for being different through healing. Working through my shit and the disciple it takes it not something everyone thinks they can do(they can they just have to want to!), like I understand my brain has had some neuropaths rewired but the brain is so malleable and I have worked hard and long at my resilience and discipline!

Also as a fellow survivor of trauma I also feel privileged to have been able to rise up from the d3ad, because unfortunately some don’t, so I also think you have a great point we should feel proud for the ones that couldn’t, and if it bothers others the. So be it it’s unfortunate but we are only responsible for us and we are allowed to feel proud & strive to help others. 🖤✨

I have PTSD, I just had open heart surgery, plus two other surgeries over the past 20 months. I have been constantly enduring life for the past ten years. I love my fate as much as I hate what I have had to live through. I’m resilient and I’m surviving life.
