why do you leave the edges dry? I've always included the edges and had good success. I'll try your way next time 🤔 (also the painting looks amazing!!) P.S. for anyone reading: this process can be done also before painting to help with the warping.

I always struggled with keeping my papers flat because either the tape didn’t hold it down well enough (I pre-wet my paper) or the tape is too strong and I it destroys the paper if I try to peel it away (with a blow drier and peeling it at an angle, like many recommend). I also tried to wet the paper again after finishing the painting (like in this video) and it helps a bit, but I don’t get it completly flat. Sadly I also experienced re-warping after a while, so I try to always wet it throughoutly beforehand
