I feel like at this point they should be paying US to check bags. No one wants to risk losing their bags so carry on is preferred now for convenience and speed. Checking a bag is a HASSLE

The last flight I took they asked for volunteers to check their carryons. Nobody volunteered so then they started making people check them. Of course I noticed once seated there were empty overhead bins. 🤦♂️
