bro, this happened to me too when I was a kid. but in my case, it was my mom's younger brother who ate my pet bunny. I had two bunnies back then. my gray one, just like yours, got eaten without me even knowing. I was so heartbroken, but my mom didn't do anything abt it. then I think around 4 months later, she gave my other white bunny to one of her friends without telling me. I was devastated again. I cried nonstop and was so depressed. abt a year later, my mom and I went to visit that friend's house (idek she was the one my mom gave my bunny to). when we got there, I saw this white rabbit, and I instantly knew she was mine. she looked so depressed and was in such poor condition. half of her fur was gone, she looked yellow and dirty, and she was stuck in this tiny cage. i was silently crying and kept trying to convince them to let me take her back, but I couldn't. Instead, they just laughed at me for being "too sensitive."
