for people who don’t know how taxes work. you don’t ’get back’ all of the taxes you pay. the only reason you get taxes back is because you gave more than you needed to. you get back the difference, not everything.

Anyone under 18 probably doesn’t make enough to have taxable income. SSN tax does get taken out but if you live long enough you will get all that back eventually.

I do NOT get it all back. Every paycheck I have ever gotten has had 10-15% taken out. the most I have ever been returned when I did my taxes was $20

I agree we shouldn’t be taxed until 18 but you do realize no were in our constitution is there anything about no taxation without representation. That idea comes from the Declaration of Independence which the colonies at the time were under British rule, they had that in their constitution so it also applied to the colonies

We should also be allowed to vote on the specific things that our tax money is being used for. Why am I paying taxes to fund a war or a program that actively makes my life harder and doesn’t benefit me? Why don’t I get a say in that?

Everyone saying you get it all back… no you dont. If I were to have done taxes when I was under 18 I would have received around 10-20 dollars. 10-20 dollars is taken out of every single check I received (weekly). Every job is different and every state is aswell
