Eternity peak strange main. My portals 9/10 never touch the floor it’s almost always dropping the team into point or high ground pointing for strat to heal while in spawn. Maybe I can test out the to that are on ground again but usually those are bad for the team depending on who’s alive on each team

also worth mentioning that when it gets to crunch time like this the first person to die REGARDLESS of role should immediately swap to strange and the team should swap accordingly to rebalance the comp. eg if the first to die in this situation is a support they should swap to strange and one of the tanks or dps (whichever dies next) should swap to second healer to fill the gap. that’s why it’s important to know at least one of each role and always know strange. if someone’s already on strange and still alive it’s more value for them to die asap (only if the other team has more alive than yours ofc) and insta swap so he’s available for the first death on your team to swap to have a faster portal. i’ve lost too many games to teammates not realizing this.

i see some benefits doing it in the air facing downward covering the whole area , your healers can heal from outside the portal without being in the middle of the fight and ur dps can shoot from there aswell on most cases tho i find that cutting off LOS of healers and enemy team with portal is the best

the tp can be used as a invincible shield so alway better put it in the middle of the enemy team cutting their heals, or looking towards the point having the back against the enemy team cutting incoming dmg
