@rescue.ranch0: Left for Dead On The Streets of Compton & Broken in Every Way, This Gentle Pup Is STILL Fighting For Her Life... We recently received a video of a dog found in the center divider on a street in #Compton, CA. Her injuries were severe—she’d possibly been stabbed, thrown from a car, and even run over. Despite all the obvious signs of abuse and neglect, Saint was STILL wagging her tail. A Good Samaritan rushed her to the ER. She would need a front limb amputation, surgery to correct her dislocated hip, and extensive wound care. Quoted nearly $15,000, the Good Samaritan was devastated, knowing he couldn’t afford it. He pleaded tearfully for help to save her life. This was a dog who wanted to live. Thankfully, word of Saint’s situation reached our ears, and we wasted no time agreeing to take her in. Old scars, fresh wounds, and signs of overbreeding tell a story of prolonged mistreatment. As we pet her in the ER, we whispered, “I’m so glad you’re here.” And we meant every word. Saint’s surgeon tried to reset her elbow and hip. While her elbow might be salvageable, her hip didn’t respond as well. She’s now recovering from Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery, but that’s only part of her journey. Saint’s foot is also severely damaged, with paw pads almost gone and one toe worn down to the bone, likely needing future amputation. Your support is the reason we’re able to say “yes” to dogs like Saint, to give them a second chance when no one else will. Her medical bills are already over $11,000 and will continue to rise. Please consider contributing to Saint’s medical fund or donating any items from her wish list of supplies. We will keep you updated on her progress as we learn more about her condition. Thank you so much for your invaluable generosity. ❤️LINK IN BIO - Donate❤️ La Mesa, CA - The Animal Pad #rescuedog #rescuestory #stopanimalabuse #stopanimalcruelty
