Numbness, pain from lower back into the leg. Sometimes lying down helps…. Not always. But we still have to pay for a 5000 dollar test and wait 2 weeks for a referral, then schedule that referral in 8 weeks maybe and then wait another 4-6 weeks minimum to do anything about it.

I have all these symptoms my MRI said spinal stenosis osteoarthritis but after recently visiting nerosurgery he said nothing is pinching he doesn't know y I have pain an told me to lose weight. do I need a second opinion?

I had stenosis along with a cyst between L4 and L5. Surgery relieved the pain. Still see a chiropractor every 3 weeks to keep my pelvis in line.

And please, doctor, don't just go off of their MRI. I had this for 15 years, but they said my MRI wasn't bad. Every time I walked I clung to anything I could grab on to. If I stood still, I leaned on counters until my arms were shaking. Finally a surgeon did a laminectomy, even though he himself said my MRI wasn't bad. After surgery he said that after he pulled my lamina off, everything inside my spine bulged out, and that kind of compression wouldn't show up on an MRI. He said I must have been in terrible pain. Yes I lived in pain for 15 years because doctors trusted MRI's over me.

The nerve pain. It’s hard to sit down for a long time your leg goes dead. Story of my life since 2008.. got my L5 S1 fuse lost movement been on disabilities since 2015. I need two more levels of fuse and I refuse.. I am already in excruciating pain every day to hip surgeries because of the spinal stenosis last was a hip replacement in October. I have permanent nerve damage in my left leg because it took a year to give me the fusion because I’m insurance purposes I had to try other methods first.. mind you I already had two prior surgeries. I still can’t sit for long. I can’t walk for long.. life has become a giant chore

I have this and other issues in all 3 areas of my spine. The last 12 years I’ve been under medicated or not medicated so I’ve become so weak and have osteoporosis and Compression fractures. The narrowing of the spinal canal showed up years ago on the MRI. No options were given other than many injections. I was in the Philly area. Now moved to Baltimore to be with family because I’m not functioning. I wish I could have seen you for a consult years ago. I did see many doctors. It’s so hard.

I have spinal stenosis so bad I can barely walk my feet are constantly numb and I seen the top surgeon at Loyola and he told me quote there's nothing I can do for you if I was to do surgery on you it wouldn't be a good outcome so now I have to suffer in pain and in a wheelchair and mind you I have small kids but Maid just became legal in Illinois and I'm really considering on doing this because I don't want to live like this anymore it's been a long time. and don't forget they don't prescribe pain pills for something like this so you can imagine

What do you suggest for spinal stenosis. My orthopedic said take the pain as long as you can because surgery isn't good 😳
