It was a little bit heartbreaking when I looked in the book after the final draft got printed, just to find some mistakes with this poem. Considering this was my first ever experiencing with publishing a book, and I’ve virtually done everything myself, I think I’ve checked for mistakes about 100 times, and yet a few still somehow made it through. I thought if, for future prints I should revise them, but for now I decided to leave them in there, for some extra personality perhaps haha. If there’s ever gonna be a second edition, I’ll revise everything again. The signed book bundle is back in stock and can be found on my website. People who bite the hand that feeds them often lick the boot that kicks them. And that is one of the saddest parts of human nature. Some people don’t value kindness. They don’t respect the person who helped them. They don’t appreciate the one who showed up, gave support, opened doors, and stood beside them when nobody else did. Instead, they take kindness for granted. They mistake softness for weakness. They disrespect the hand that helped them rise, then run after the people who treated them badly. It teaches you something painful. Not everyone knows how to receive goodness. Not everyone values a good heart. And not everyone deserves unlimited access to your kindness. So stay kind.
