I’m one of the passers of the March 2026 CSE, and these are the tips I can share based on my own experience: 1. Time management is EVERYTHING Ito talaga. Minsan hindi dahil hindi nila alam yung sagot kaya sila bumabagsak—nauubusan lang talaga ng oras. For the Professional Level, you only have 3 hours and 10 minutes for 170 items. Mukha lang mahaba yung time, but trust me, there are questions that will take up a lot of your time—especially sa math, analyzation, and solving problems. Minsan isang tanong pa lang, ilang minutes na agad nakakain, so don’t get too comfortable thinking na “mahaba pa naman yung oras.” Manage your time wisely. If hindi mo alam yung sagot, skip muna and balikan mo na lang later. Don’t let one hard question consume too much of your time. Kung hindi mo talaga alam and paubos na yung oras, sagutan mo na rin kahit hula lang—multiple choice naman siya. Better na may chance ka makakuha ng point kaysa blangko. Malay mo, tama pala yung hula mo. 2. Answer practice tests Super helpful nito because hindi lang siya about knowledge—malaking tulong din siya sa speed and test-taking skills. Habang nagpa-practice tests ako, mas nasasanay ako sa flow and type of questions, and mas nakikita ko rin kung saan ako mahina. It also helped lessen my panic during the actual exam kasi somehow familiar na yung feeling. 3. Go back to basics Maraming nagkakamali sa part na ’to kasi iniisip nila na, “Naituro naman na ’to nung high school, kaya ko na ’yan.” But trust me, iba pa rin kapag ni-review at prinactice mo ulit—especially sa math and grammar. Maraming basic concepts na akala mo tanda mo pa, pero once nasa exam ka na, biglang limot mo na pala. Reviewing the basics also helps you find techniques kung paano ka mas mabilis sumagot. 4. Know yourself and your weak points Dapat alam mo kung saan ka talaga nahihirapan instead of focusing lang sa topics na comfortable ka na. For me, I had a separate notebook for topics na mahina ako and yung mga hindi ko pa gaanong naiintindihan. The goal is to strengthen your weak points while also refreshing what you already know. 5. Be organized Hindi kailangan sobrang perfect ng study routine mo, but having a system really helps. I organized my reviewers, made study priorities, and tried my best not to cram. Kahit little progress every day, malaking bagay siya in the long run. 6. Don’t underestimate the exam Ito siguro yung pinaka gusto kong sabihin. Marami kasing nagsasabi na “madali lang naman ’yan,” but please still prepare. Confidence is good, but preparation gives you a different kind of confidence—yung confidence na alam mong ginawa mo yung best mo. 7. Protect your peace before the exam The week (or even days) before the exam, try not to pressure yourself too much. Review, yes—but don’t overwhelm yourself. Honestly, malaking tulong yung pagiging calm and clear-minded on exam day. Sometimes, being mentally okay is just as important as reviewing. Good luck, future passers! 💗✨ #civilserviceexam #civilserviceexamreview #csereview #csetips #csereview2026
