collection and consumtion is something diffrend, you oberconsume over trend and then simply forget about it so it goes to waste, I colect pokemon cards for years now and I dont even throw away the packiging beacuse its neat do put intro clear binders. on colectables the price ussualy grows over time while whit trend items it goes down as more and more are produced. from what you showed in the video most of the thinks gain on price or is used up before throwing away
