@hannahgouldingg: I was convinced the best summers would come when i finally felt confident in my body / @TEVEO ‘HANNAHG’ 🫶🏻 like i’d wake up one day and suddenly be the girl who wears the bikini without thinking about it, who doesn’t overanalyse every photo, who just exists in her body without noise but that version of me never actually arrived and I realised it wasn’t worth putting my happiness on hold waiting for her to either so i still went on the beach days even when i felt bloated i still put the bikini on even when i wanted to change three times before leaving the house i still got in the photo even when my first instinct was to stand slightly behind everyone else nothing major happened as a result no sudden confidence switch + no perfect body reveal just me realising… i can feel uncomfortable and still be there like sitting on the towel thinking “i wish i looked different” and then ten minutes later laughing so hard i forgot i was thinking it or taking the photo, hating it immediately, then seeing it again weeks later and realising it was actually a good memory, not a bad body moment that’s the thing no one tells you. confidence doesn’t always come first. sometimes it comes after you’ve already shown up so yeah, my dream summer didn’t start when my body changed it started when i stopped mentally sitting summers out until it felt good enough because btw you don’t need to earn yours either how you look should not impact whether you allow yourself to enjoy life or how the voice speaks to you inside your head 🩵 wearing TEVEO soft ‘HANNAHG’ to save 🫶🏻
