@kaya.lens: i thought the hardest part of my exchange semester would be moving to a new country. turns out, it was leaving it. ✈️🤍 this night flight from Toronto back to Europe wasn’t just another flight. it was the end of a chapter i never wanted to end. it’s strange how a place that once felt so unfamiliar can become home. suddenly you know the streets by heart, have your favorite coffee spot, your routine, your people, and a version of yourself that only existed because you had the courage to move there. then one boarding pass changes everything. watching the city lights disappear during takeoff, i realized i wasn’t just leaving a city. i was leaving the life i’d built there. if you’ve ever studied abroad, done an exchange semester, or lived somewhere that changed you, you probably know this feeling. it’s heartbreaking because it’s proof that you found a place worth missing while at the same time you go back to the place you used to call home before, but it doesn't quite fit right anymore. i’ll always be grateful for Toronto, for my exchange year, and for the person i became while i was there. some places don’t just become memories. they become part of who you are. what’s one place that will always feel like home, even if you don’t live there anymore? 🤍🌍👇 #studyabroad #exchange #livingabroad #exchangestudent #fyp
