@fox4newsdallasfortworth: The King of Jordan paid a visit to Khashoka, a local Jordanian restaurant in Richardson, during his trip to North Texas to watch his country play in the World Cup. The Jordanian national team also visited the restaurant following their final World Cup match on Saturday, a 3-1 loss to Lionel Messi and Argentina at Dallas Stadium. Khashoka has several locations open in the Middle East, and first opened its doors in Richardson in 2025.

That’s such an honor. Who would think a restaurant in American would host a king. The World Cup is so magical.

This is so cool. Love that he walked in and shook hands and he wasn't all dressed up. If you just walked in, you would never even know he's the king.

This interaction is so wholesome. A king visiting a local spot in Dallas just feels so relatable. If you ran into someone like him, what would your first reaction be? 😂

The king isn’t just an awesome guy with a long and impressive resume, he’s a big Trek fan too. Made his way onto an episode of Star Trek Voyager.

As a member of the Hashemite dynasty, he is a 41st-generation direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (Yes, he existed). King Abdullah has focused on maintaining regional stability, advocating for interfaith harmony (such as through the 2004 Amman Message), and positioning Jordan as a key Western ally in the Middle East. He is also a Jordanian field marshal who began his military career at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England in 1980, while he was a training officer in the Jordanian Armed Forces. In 1985 he took the Armored Officer's Advanced Course at Fort Knox. He became commander of a tank company in the 91st Armored Brigade, with the rank of captain. Abdullah also served with the Royal Jordanian Air Force's anti-tank helicopter wing, receiving training to fly Cobra attack-helicopters. 1994: Abdullah assumed command of Jordan's Special Forces and of other elite units as a brigadier general, restructuring them into the Joint Special Operations Command two years later.
