I have something like that in my story😅 In act 2 my MC found out that she was working for years for someone, who kinda wanted to destroy the world and because of MC being effective in her work there were thousands of people who believed that villain is a great person😅 And she stucked with that knowledge and responsibility, cuz noone would believe her telling the truth about villain anymore😅

But if you have multiple main characters, how do you figure out whose beliefs should fall apart? do you just create a big enough issue that it breaks each of theirs in some way?
