Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so sorry this happened. It makes me both angry and sad to see how ugly and hateful people can be. My husband and I go to Pride Night at Dodger Stadium every year. Not only is it such a fun evening, but it’s also an important opportunity to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community and help create an environment where everyone can come together, feel welcome, and have a great time. 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎

Thanks for your story. I’m 70 and started my coming out process during college in the mid- to late 70s. When I see younger folks like you and how you are reacting to this issue, I am very proud of you and how far things have come. However, I also feel shame that I didn’t do more, that I always held myself back out of fear. My husband and I have been together for 24 years, and we are never affectionate in public. We’ve never talked about it, but it makes me sad that even after becoming legally married I still find myself reluctant to say “my husband” out loud when I don’t know who is listening. Happy Pride and keep on keeping’ on as we used to say. 🏳️🌈
