the fingerprint sensors on those Sony devices are so unreliable. I had the Sony Xperia 1 III and the fingerprint sensor failed after a year and a half.

There is nothing unusual with a SIM card slot and memory card and other features. You described basically most of the good Android phones. Headphone jack is the only outstanding feature, but in 2026 even the most hardcore users don't really use wired headsets.

I had 1 mark 3 upto until march I got s26 ultra. Sony lacks support and updates optimization almost none existing which is you need most because 4k screen eat up battery like butter if apps not externally optimises.

I do like fingerprint on the side and even way back when LG had the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone
