Slapchop is great for army painting. But when someone does it for a singular miniature, it just breaks my heart that they spent so much money on that yet use such a cheap method

paint is paint. Slapchop or not anything painted is better than gray! I plan on slapchop for my Orks after I finish up the couple Necrons I have left and all the Dark angels I have.

I think it's good if you just want a good table standard model. But you aren't going to learn anything or improve your paint jobs by relying on it, if your objective is to learn how to paint for display or competition. That said, you can use the same technique and then continue with more layering to paint something higher quality than a standard slapchop, so it's still a handy technique.

Looks great 👍 i prefere slapchop/speedpainting techniqes for my orcs while taking more time for my death guard :) but the speedpaint hate is way to big lately :/
