10 DAYS OF QUICK HIGH PROTEIN RECIPES Day 2| Crispy hoisin beef egg fried rice, just 600 calories & 47g protein per serving! 😮💨 Shopping list - 330g Lean rump steak, room temperature - 2 tsp Soy sauce - 1 tsp Chinese five spice - 1 Egg, whisked - 30g Cornflour For the egg fried rice: - 100g Basmati rice, dry, cooked & cold - 50g White onion, finely diced - 1 Egg - 80g Frozen peas - 1 tsp Sesame oil - 2 tsp Dark soy sauce 🥣 For the sauce: mix 2 1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp white rice vinegar, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp minced garlic Method: ✨Tenderise the beef using cling film and a rolling pin or meat tenderiser. Slice the beef into thin strips, marinade with soy sauce then dip into the whisked egg then cornflour. ✨Place on a lined baking tray and cook on 200C fan for 15-20 minutes or until crispy. In a small bowl mix the sauce ingredients together along with 1 tbsp of water. ✨Once the beef has cooked, pour the sauce into a large frying pan or wok and crank the heat on high until it starts to bubble. Mix the beef into the sauce until the beef is evenly coated. ✨For the egg fried rice, fry the onions in sesame oil for a few minutes to soften. Add the peas and cook for a further few minutes before adding the egg and scramble. ✨ Mix in the rice then pour in the dark soy sauce and mix everything together. Serve with the optional spring onions and prawn crackers, then dive right in. (Serves 2)
