this is called leadership. it's not about getting into the gutter yourself but recognizing that a canal is needed and motivating the people to do the work themselves even when the money is not available.

And 53yrs on in 2026,the canal and the dam is still serving Dawhenya and the strech of lands to Afienya in vegetable farming,rice,fish farming and day to day water need of some people and major road contractors.Though,the lands around the canal and the dam has been encroached on and sold out for human settlements,the purpose of that project is still in service to a larger extent,and for generations yet to come,weldone sir.
