This!! As an educator, I always encourage parents to nurture and invest in what their children are interested in. Stop pushing your own desires onto your children and understand that not everyone is going to become the traditional employee.

Yes! my older sister bought me a kids microscope set when I was in 6th grade. it was my favourite toy! then in high school I was active in science competitions. Now I'm a scientist

As a parent this is a strategy that's needed.. The education system is set up to fuel the traditional employee/employer system. The kids that get the opportunity to really build wealth are guided by parents who understand what the system is really about. Invest in your kids beyond the education system, pour into them and build their system. Let's change the narrative one by one.

I was just talking about this yesterday!! Parents play such a big part in children's success and it's not just in books and getting good grades.

Being intentional about providing children with exposure is also very important. The interest will likely not be there if the child was never exposed to it.
