When I finished my apprenticeship school after four years journeyman rate was $18 an hour that was 1992 and then when I retired in 2018, it was a little over 31 1/2 dollars. It’s crazy to see how much rates have gone up in the last eight years. And plus if you have an apprentice doing stuff like that, he was definitely taught wrong so don’t knock him teach him.

Don’t need Kelly screw at top plate in stud, just bottom. When your sheet of 5/8 or 1/2 goes on your drywall screws lock everything in, when you know you know!
