@joshuagonzalezmd: Here's what actually gets removed during a circumcision. Spoiler: it's not the head of the penis. The head, or glans, stays completely intact. What gets removed is the foreskin, the sleeve of skin that naturally covers and protects it. That's why the head is permanently exposed after circumcision, while an uncircumcised penis still has the foreskin covering it.
