CVT’s are not made to be driven like that. They are for gas mileage. Driving it hard will cause it to fail

Got this Altima 3.5 last owner didn’t do any service to the trans, it would whine and overheat after 1 hour of driving, I did the fluid change, filter, added a better oil cooler, still strong, I made 4 trips in 1 week from phx to LV no problems on 105 days…. 172k miles

I do transmission work for a living. the older ones are hot garbage. the newer ones seem to be better but still got to be one of the most unreliable on the market.

As long as you dont mod your car there perfect there the most used transmission in modern day every nissan has one unless its a manual most Hondas most toyota any true modern daily comuter has a cvt

CVTs and fine 9/10 most cars have the same cvt whether it’s Nissan , Toyota, or Honda lol. All I can say is don’t change the fluids once they’re changed it will fail they tell you to change it but don’t.
