Please consider doing half birthdays for the kiddos that have their bdays over summer break. My husband is 47 with a mid June birthday and he still talks about never having celebrations at school 😢

I have two summer grandkids. I think finding a week that no one else has a birthday would be great so they feel extra special Maybe put their name in a jar and on that Monday draw a summer birthday name. Also waiting till the end of school you run risk of them missing

The amazing woman who taught both my kids for kindergarten literally had the exact same birthday items and all the children loved them. She retired this year and we got her a giant stuffed animal version for her retirement gift. Full circle for sure. So so excited for you! You’ll be an amazing teacher!!

I am so afraid of the expectation you are setting. I love that you are able to comfortably afford that much decor and theme your very first year! By the time I could afford any of that stuff I was far too stressed out in my personal life to spend money that I will never get back on teaching. I dunno it just really hurts my heart these comments of you setting the bar high and it has nothing to do with your actual teaching abilities just on the amount you are spending on your classroom esthetic. Please year after year never base your value on being the Pinterest teacher, base your value on the amount of kids accomplished something during their time with you!
